Set up tasks that run automatically on a schedule. Daily standups, weekly reports, recurring syncs - all without manual intervention.

Creating a scheduled task

In any conversation, describe what you want and when:
Schedule a daily standup at 9am that summarizes my GitHub commits and Linear issues from the last 24 hours
Invariant creates the schedule and runs it automatically.

Examples

Daily standup

Every weekday at 9am, generate a standup report from:
- My GitHub commits from yesterday
- My Linear issues in progress
- Any Slack mentions in #engineering

Weekly report

Every Friday at 5pm, create a summary of:
- PRs merged this week
- Issues completed
- Key discussions from Slack

Issue sync

Every hour, check for new GitHub issues labeled "bug" and create corresponding Linear issues

Email digest

Every morning at 8am, summarize my unread emails and highlight anything urgent

Managing schedules

Go to Schedules in the sidebar to:
  • See all active schedules
  • Pause or resume schedules
  • Delete schedules you no longer need
  • View history of past runs

How it works

Scheduled tasks run in the background. You don’t need to be logged in. Results are saved to the conversation where you created the schedule, and you can view them in the Tasks page.

Tips

Be specific about timing:
Every weekday at 9am EST
Specify what tools to use:
Using GitHub and Linear, create a weekly summary...
Start simple, then refine: Create a basic schedule first, then edit it based on the results you get.
